Children's Academy is proud to be a part of the South Side of Columbus community for over 30 years. With our years of experience we have been able to see our students achieve great accomplishments. It is wonderful to know that our school plays a vital role in the children's lives of our community. We take great strides to guarantee that our school provides quality childcare to every child that enters our doors, no matter what creed, race, social economic status, or background they may be.
As a business and residents of the South Side, Children's Academy believes that it is our obligation and priority to act as a link between our student's families and the community as a whole to the happenings in our neighborhood. To further accomplish this goal we are members of the following:
Better Business Bureau
Save Our Southside Civic Association
Council of South Side Business Organizations
National Child Care Association
Franklin County Child Care Association
We are committed to serving our community and neighborhood.
We realize that there is a great need for a community newspaper that will keep our neighborhoods, businesses, and residents connected. With the Columbus Dispatch discontinuing the South Side version of the This Week neighborhood paper, we have had no way to get in touch with our community. With that, Children's Academy, is testing out a new newsletter that will be distributed to the area through mailing lists that we have obtained through contacts throughout the Southpoint Apartments activism. For now, we will be distributing this newsletter free of charge. We encourage local assoications, schools, and individuals to contact the editor, Mindi Hardgrow, to submit contributions of articles, events etc. to the newsletter. She will be more than willing to submit news of interest.
Contact her at mindi@childrensacademy.org
You may also contact her to be on the mailing list for the newsletter!
